We do fully test all Premium/Paid plugins. If the plugin developer provides us with a copy of the Premium/Paid plugin. If the plugin developer provides us with Demo access to a Premium/Paid plugin we do full testing. In some cases we do purchase Premium/Paid plugins for full testing.
What do we evaluate when rating a Theme?
All graphical visual elements such as: colors, fonts, icons, style, composition, etc.
Theme speed: speed of menus, tabs, slideshows, photo gallery, etc. and overall response time and mouse actions on the theme.
Useful built-in features: Widget, Menus, Photo/Video Gallery, Music Player, Slideshow, Mobile Compatibility, Tabs, Built-in Related Posts, Built-in Contact Form, Google Map, Social Sharing Icons, Social Networks, SEO friendly, etc. and additionally we evaluate the overall intended purpose of the theme vs the included built-in features.
When evaluating “Support” the most important factor in rating “Support” is response time to questions and of course the quality of the response. Other factors in evaluating “Support” are: professionalism, politeness, courteousness, useful information provided, etc. The Support evaluation takes into consideration accessibility options such as: toll free numbers, Live Chat, but these accessibility options do not increase or decrease a Support evaluation rating.
5- User Ratings (star ratings, thumbs up, etc)
We check WordPress.org Star Ratings and other sources where User Ratings can be found. We also consider user ratings and comments on our website.
6- Our Rating
Typically one or two members of our team will rate themes.
7- Overall Value
Overall Value is assessed by evaluating the following: features, overall appearance, speed, ease of setup, overall usefulness and product support.
